Puppy pad renovation

So our puppy is bad, like really bad but when you are as cute as him (see below for cuteness factor) you can get away with almost anything!
I really want to build Jackson a puppy home, I mean like a full blast puppy house. Problem is Jackson is an inside puppy which means I'll never get my dream of building a puppy house with siding, shingles, a window and a welcome mat for his puppy friends. Anyways, this is what Jackson has been sleeping on in his kennel.

As you can see, he has destroyed it already and it can't be very comfortable it was just a filler until we bought a bed for him. Well instead of buying a bed. Lindsey decided she could make one so off to the Hobby Lobby we go! After getting some fabric and stuffing, (all of which was on sale!) Lindsey knocked this out for little Jacky Jacky to rest on.

Here is Jackson playing on his brand spanking new bed! Which wasn't new for very long because it only took a day for him to pee on it. His full name is Jackson Barkasaurus Walker but it should be peeasaurus!

Vote NOW, Please :)

For the longest time I've wanted decorative pillows for our bed. There are so many cute ones everywhere. But I can't justify spending $40 dollars on one pillow. A few weekends ago, traveling on our way home we stopped by the Summitt in Birmingham to eat. Recently, Ryne has been completely obsessed with Pottery Barn. (Which I don't blame him, they have some super cute stuff there.) So, naturally we had to go there too. While there I saw these pillows:
      Textured Pillow Cover, 18", Espresso
I really liked the square pillow with one button and the rectangular one with several buttons. They were really simple, but I still liked them. Instead of paying $25 for only the pillow cover, I decided I would try to sew my own.
Here comes the problem.... I went ahead and made one of each to see how they would turn out. One square and one rectangle. Now that I made both, I don't know which one we should keep and make a second one of. Here are the final products...

Your opinion is needed, please. :) Which one is it, square or rectangle? Or are they both a no go?

Refreshing Antiques

Well, recently Lindsey and I went out junk/antique shopping, with my mom, hoping we would stumble upon some wonders. We found plenty of stuff that was neat or unique but only found a couple of things we wanted to tackle projects on.

We found both of these at the same place after going to about a billion (or ten). I found a pair of old snow skis that I need for a sweet project. I'm not sure why a South Alabama antique shop had snow skis but I landed them anyways. Lindsey found an old window pane that she was going to spruce up for something neat for some wall art in our guest room.

Here are the Skis, the project will follow in the near future!

On to Lindsey's project, She took the old window pane and some pictures and whatnots and created this! I think its a great and different way to hang some pictures. There is also a picture of the guest bedroom below in which you can see our bed. Lindsey and myself built/finished the headboard and a good friend and I made the side table and then Lindsey and I finished it. It's a copy of the Pottery Barn Mason headboard and a modified version of the Pottery Barn Farmhouse side table. I found the plans on ana-white.com. If you haven't seen her website, you should definitely check it out. Anyways, that was just a shameless plug for the stuff we built. We are quite proud of ourselves, if I do say so myself.
